Elizabeth Clisby

Dr Clisby has two post graduate Fellowships. She completed specialist training in Sport and Exercise Medicine and became a Fellow of the Australasian College of Sport and Exercise Physicians in 2007. She also holds a diploma of Sports Medicine from the University of London and is also a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

Dr Clisby has over 25 years of clinical experience with sport and exercise medicine. She has been the Medical Officer to the Opals (Australian Women’s Basketball Team) and the Adelaide Thunderbirds, worked in the Athlete’s Village at the Sydney Olympics currently holds a contract with Tennis Australia for medical services to international Tennis Australia players and various professional and amateur tournaments. She worked two seasons in the Australian ski fields gaining experience in acute sports trauma.

Dr Clisby also holds a Visiting Sports Physician Specialist position at Noarlunga Hospital which is the only public Sports Medicine Clinic in South Australia.

Dr Clisby can see patients that have been referred from their GPs as well as patients referred from their physiotherapist or podiatrist. She also sees self-referred patients.

Dr Clisby has a special interest in musculoskeletal conditions of the shoulder and foot and ankle having worked for 10 years in a specialist Foot and Ankle Centre and holds a Visiting Sports Physician Specialist position at Noarlunga hospital, which is the only public Sports Medicine Clinic in South Australia.
