Our team uses a unique multi-disciplinary approach that sets us apart, with our arthritis treatment plan incorporating many of our clinic practitioners. This includes sports medicine doctors, physiotherapists, podiatrists, dietitians and other allied health practitioners, both in-clinic as well as providing home-based exercise programs to keep you going.
Indicators of arthritis include swelling, pain, and stiffness, and if left unattended, the effects of arthritis can be prolonged and lead to tissue damage.
Treatment will vary depending on the type and severity of your arthritis. Management for the condition may include; medications, lifestyle management and specialist referral as well as manual treatments. Our physiotherapy department can design specific exercise programs which are individually tailored based upon your condition, capabilities and goals. To assist in managing your arthritis, we offer the evidence-based education and exercise program, GLA:D, for hip and knee osteoarthritis, the Shoulder clinic for Osteoarthritis, aquatic physiotherapy, Exercise rehabilitation and gym-based programs, as well as self-managed, home-based programs.
