Clinical Pilates

Pilates is a system of movement and exercise created and developed in the early 1900s by Joseph Pilates. The method involves controlled resistance exercises designed to strengthen and stretch muscles, open up joints, and create a core of strong lower and deeper abdominal and mid-back muscles. With a strong 'core', you are less likely to develop back complaints, and may reduce your likelihood of developing other injuries.

Pilates Instruction can help you with:

  • Heightened body awareness
  • Improved posture
  • Improved balance and co-ordination
  • Increased strength without bulk
  • Increased core strength and stability
  • Longer, leaner more flexible muscles
